Top players will compete live in San Francisco for a chance to become champion and take home the lion’s share of the prize pool. Fans can tune into the action across the EA Sports Madden NFL Twitch and YouTube channels.
The event is part of a wider range of activations hosted by EA Sports throughout Super Bowl LX week. Other activations include the Madden Bowl fan event in partnership with global payment company Visa.
“Super Bowl week is a global celebration for the sports community, and EA Sports has long been part of that tradition,” said Evan Dexter, VP, Franchise Strategy and Marketing at EA Sports.
“This year with Super Bowl LX in the Bay Area, right in the backyard of our global headquarters, we’re going bigger than ever before, creating unforgettable experiences and more ways to play, watch, compete, and connect for fans everywhere.”
The finals are the culmination of the MCS 26 circuit. Announced in August, the circuit’s eleventh season consisted of three events and a last-chance qualifier, giving players a final opportunity to earn a place at the Madden Bowl.
The Growth Of NFL Esports
Alongside the Madden Championship Series, EA Sports has continued to expand the NFL’s esports scene across the globe. In November, it hosted the Madden NFL 26 International: Madrid Challenge in the Spanish capital. The two finalists from the event earned a trip to Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
The event was the second time an NFL esports event took place outside of the United States. In March, EA Sports hosted this year’s edition of the Madden Bowl in London.
