Team Spirit are the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2026 champions after surviving a full seven-game grand final against Yangon Galacticos.
The MSC 2026 title match went all the way to Game 7, with Team Spirit eventually closing the series 4-3. It was a brutal finish to one of the most unpredictable international MLBB tournaments in recent memory.
Yangon Galacticos came within a single game of completing a remarkable championship run. Team Spirit held firm when it mattered, took the deciding map and walked away with the trophy, $1 million in prize money and 1,000 Esports World Cup Club Championship points.
Team Spirit Complete a Historic MSC 2026 Run
This was not just another international title.
Team Spirit became the first team from outside Southeast Asia to win one of Mobile Legends’ two biggest annual international competitions. That matters in a scene long controlled by teams from the Philippines, Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia.
Their knockout-stage run was ruthless before the grand final got messy.
Team Spirit swept Team Vamos 3-0 in the quarterfinals, then dismantled ONIC by the same score in the semifinals. Yangon Galacticos followed a different route, beating Pro Esports 3-0 before narrowly escaping Team Falcons PH in a 3-2 semifinal.
That set up a final between a Team Spirit squad that had barely been touched and a Yangon Galacticos roster that kept finding ways to survive.
Seven games later, Spirit had the trophy.
EXP laner Kid Bomba earned grand final MVP honours after playing a major role in the championship-clinching series.

Yangon Galacticos opened the playoffs with a clean sweep, quickly ending Pro Esports’ tournament run.
Team Falcons PH 3-1 Team Vitality
Team Falcons PH moved into the semifinals after dropping only one game against Team Vitality.
Team Spirit 3-0 Team Vamos
Team Spirit gave Team Vamos almost nothing to work with. The eventual champions advanced without losing a map.
ONIC 3-2 Aurora Gaming
ONIC survived the closest quarterfinal series, edging Aurora Gaming across five games.

Yangon Galacticos dragged Team Spirit into a seventh game, but Spirit took the final map and finished the tournament as MSC 2026 champions. The result gave Team Spirit the $1 million top prize, while Yangon Galacticos earned $500,000 for finishing second.
MSC 2026 Final Standings and Prize Money
Team Spirit finished first and collected the largest share of the tournament prize pool. Yangon Galacticos earned second place, while ONIC completed the podium after beating Team Falcons PH.
1st: Team Spirit — $1,000,000 and 1,000 Club Points
2nd: Yangon Galacticos — $500,000 and 750 Club Points
3rd: ONIC — $250,000 and 500 Club Points
4th: Team Falcons PH — $150,000 and 300 Club Points
Team Vitality, Team Vamos, Aurora Gaming and Pro Esports each finished in the fifth-to-eighth-place range. Each organization received $100,000 and 200 Club Championship points.
Team Liquid PH Exit Before the Knockout Stage
The tournament did not go the way Philippine fans expected.
Team Liquid PH entered MSC 2026 carrying the weight of a region accustomed to fighting for international trophies. Their run ended during the group stage after losses to Aurora Gaming and Entity7.
Team Falcons PH went much deeper and reached the semifinals, but Yangon Galacticos shut down their title bid. A later 3-0 loss to ONIC left Falcons PH in fourth place.
For once, no Philippine team reached the MSC grand final.
How the MSC 2026 Format Worked
The MSC 2026 main event began with 16 teams divided into two groups.
Each group used a best-of-three double-elimination format. Teams could recover from one defeat, but a second loss ended their tournament. The top four squads from each group moved into the eight-team knockout bracket.
From there, the format became far less forgiving.
The knockout rounds used single elimination, with the quarterfinals and semifinals played as best-of-five series. The championship match expanded to a best-of-seven, which proved necessary as Team Spirit and Yangon Galacticos used every available game.
The group stage ran from July 22 to July 26, followed by the knockout matches from July 29 through the grand final on August 1.
