According to multuple media outlets, shich as Forbes and Esports Radar, HiveScale plans to invest R$100m (~£13.9m) by 2030 to build a comprehensive ecosystem for brands looking to engage with Brazil’s gaming and esports communities.
As a major stakeholder in one of the most significant esports markets worldwide, INTZ will focus on its competitive efforts across VALORANT, Free Fire, EAFC and Rainbow Six: Siege. In addition, the esports organisation aims to compete for a spot in CBLOL, Brazil’s tier-one League of Legends circuit.
Its new parent company, HiveScale, will be in charge of INTZ’s social and educational projects, as well as strategic and brand management, through its other subsidiaries, Black Duck and Stellae Gaming.
Lucas Catharino, CEO of HiveScale, described this approach as a model for sustainable esports business management in the country.
“Esports has everything it takes to become a financially sustainable ecosystem in Brazil,” Catharino said. “A strong brand like INTZ, managed by a company focused on professional management and financial responsibility like Stellae, is the ideal formula for success.”
INTZ’s Rich Esports History
Until last year, INTZ had been one of the top-performing teams in the CBLOL since its foundation in 2014, lifting multiple regional trophies and qualifying for three global LoL events, including 2019’s Mid-Season Invitational and the World Championships in 2016 and 2020.
However, following the consolidation of the CBLOL and LCS into the LoL Championship of the Americas, INTZ was excluded from Riot Games’ partner programme last year. Moreover, the organisation faced financial difficulties, resulting in its absence during the 2025 esports season.
In addition to LoL, INTZ has fielded rosters across several esports titles, including Rocket League, Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and VALORANT.
For 2026 LoL esports season, the CBLOL and LCS will return as separate leagues. The former will kick off on January 17th with the CBLOL Cup 2026 at Riot Games Arena in São Paulo.
While its future direction remains to be confirmed, the organisation has teased its return to active competition on social media, suggesting that an official announcement will follow later today.
