Live streaming platform SOOP has partnered with the Korean esports organization KT Rolster. This agreement covers the 2026 and 2027 seasons and was announced on social media.
As part of the deal, KT Rolster players will stream on SOOP. The streams will be available on the team’s official channel and on individual player accounts. The partnership also includes plans for joint content to promote team branding and showcase player personalities.
With this agreement, SOOP now works with seven of the ten teams in the League of Legends Champions Korea league. Other teams included in the partnership are Gen.G, Dplus KIA, DRX, BNK FearX, T1, and DN SOOPers, with DN SOOPers receiving support from SOOP.
KT Rolster is expanding its commercial partnerships. Current partners include South Korea’s third-largest wireless carrier, along with sponsors like Logitech, Millet, and the IT services company TOOTHLIFE.
SOOP was previously known as AfreecaTV and rebranded in 2024 after Twitch stopped its operations in South Korea. Since the rebranding, SOOP has secured a five-year LCK broadcast agreement with NAVER CHZZK. The platform also signed League of Legends player Lee Sang hyeok, commonly known as Faker.
SOOP plans to merge its global and Korean services. The unified platform will feature AI-powered subtitle translation. The company also hosts esports events like the SOOP VALORANT League and the SOOP LoL League.
