Neither Riot Games nor Best Buy have disclosed whether the new position will have any impact on his day-to-day responsibilities as CEO of the League of Legends publisher.

Over the past years, Best Buy has been trying to shift from a traditional retailer model into an omnichannel technology and services business, integrating online shopping and support services across a wide range of products. This includes PC hardware and gaming accessories.

Jadeja’s career at Riot Games started back in 2011

Jadeja initially joined Riot Games as its Chief Financial Officer and has been part of the company’s senior leadership as it grew League of Legends into one of the world’s most-played games and a pillar of modern esports.

He later added Chief Operating Officer duties in 2014 and was named President in 2017. His appointment as CEO came in July 2023 after Nicolo Laurent left the company for personal reasons. Jadeja’s President role was taken over by Hoby Darling in April 2025.

Corie Barry, CEO at Best Buy, commented on Jadeja’s appointment: “Dylan’s expertise in consumer brands, digital commerce and serving passionate global player communities will bring critical enhancements to our Board.

“I’m excited to welcome him to our company. I look forward to Dylan’s insights and guidance as we focus deeper on creating seamless omnichannel experiences for our customers and developing new streams of revenue to help fuel our growth.”
