Chinese esports organisation JD Gaming (JDG) has officially completed its 2026 lineup with the signing of ADC player Chen ‘GALA‘ Wei.
The former Invictus Gaming (IG) member becomes the last piece of the puzzle as the team looks to become one of the top contenders in the upcoming competitive season.

GALA will team up in the bottom lane with support player Zhao ‘Vampire’ Zhe-Can, joining former CTBC Flying Oyster duo of Yu ‘JunJia‘ Chun-Chia and Tsai ‘HongQ‘ Ming-Hong, alongside top laner Xu ‘Xiaoxu’ Xing-Zu — the only returning player from the 2025 roster.
With head coach Wong ‘Tabe‘ Pak Kan joining the squad, it’s clear that JDG is aiming to achieve better results than its 2025 campaign, which saw the organisation miss out on international tournaments and fall outside the top four throughout the year.
GALA is often considered one of the best ADCs in the Chinese league, thanks to his solid laning fundamentals and great teamfighting execution. Last year, he helped IG reach the Worlds 2025 play-ins before being knocked out by the World Champion T1.
Now that GALA is officially under the JDG banner, the team is expected to be a title contender alongside the ‘superteams’ put together by BiliBili Gaming (BLG), Top Esports (TES), and Anyone’s Legend (AL).
Ninjas in Pyjamas parts ways with its 2025 lineup
While JDG has officialised its 2026 lineup, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) will be undergoing a major rebuild after the organisation announced the departure of its entire 2025 roster, which included former 2019 world champion Kim ‘Doinb‘ Tae-sang.
Returning to the competitive scene after a two-year hiatus, Doinb was unable to lift NiP’s hopes of international glory, often fighting in the mid-table throughout the season. A top-six finish in LPL Split 1 was the organisation’s best result.
As for NiP’s 2026 roster, an official announcement is yet to be made. However, according to the rumours, the team is looking to sign two Korean imports, top laner Yoon ‘HOYA‘ Yong-ho and former T1 Academy jungler Koo ‘Guwon‘ Kwan-mo, alongside the Chinese trio of Yang ‘Care‘ Jie, Zou ‘Assum‘ Wei, and Wang ‘Zhuo‘ Xu-Zhuo, who previously played for NiP back in 2023 and 2024.
