Following an unprecedented victory at the CDL Championship, OpTic Texas is the only team to stick with its Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 roster, while the rest of the organisations have opted to overhaul their rosters in a bid for success on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Byron ‘Nastie‘ Plumridge is Breach’s newest signing, following four second-place finishes under the Vancouver Surge banner.

Carolina Royal Ravens

Despite a promising start to the Black Ops 6 season, the Carolina Royal Ravens parted ways with three of its four players to build a new roster centred around 2016 World Champion Austin ‘SlasheR‘ Liddicoat.

Following a season representing Minnesota Rokkr, Dylan ‘Nero‘ Koch joins the Royal Ravens in a bid to spread his wings and compete towards the top of the table. Former Stallions player Logan ‘Lurqxx‘ makes the leap from Challengers to the Call of Duty League following a string of strong showings in open tournaments throughout the year.

Another Challengers player making his CDL debut with the Royal Ravens is Jay ‘Craze‘ Mallhi. One quarter of the dominant OMiT roster impressed on several occasions, cementing his place as an up-and-coming talent looking to make waves in Call of Duty’s top tier of esports competition.

In a bid to move up the league table, Cloud9 New York released its entire roster at the end of its Black Ops 6 campaign. Similar to other franchises, the organisation has opted for an international lineup with a chance of competing against the CDL’s established names.

The UK’s Marcus ‘Afro‘ Reid and Ben ‘Beans‘ McMellon join forces alongside the American duo of Makenzie ‘Mack‘ Kelley and Reece ‘Vivid‘ Drost.

All four players have Call of Duty League experience, with all four of them competing in Challengers last season. Mack and Vivid previously represented OMiT, winning DreamHack Open and the Challengers Finals. Afro competed under the Team Notorious banner, winning the 2025 Miami Open, while Beans spent 26 days representing Team Orchid, scoring a top-16 finish at the Esports World Cup.

FaZe Vegas

Despite starting the Black Ops 6 season with victory at the first two Majors, FaZe Vegas, formerly Atlanta FaZe, parted ways with McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel and Tyler ‘aBeZy‘ Pharris following a downward turn of form in the second half of the year.

Similar to Boston Breach, FaZe Vegas dipped into the Vancouver Surge talent pool, recruiting Jovan ‘04‘ Rodriguez and Jordan ‘Abuzah‘ François to the starting lineup.

The new pairing, combined with the established duo of Zack ‘Drazah‘ Jordan and Chris ‘Simp‘ Lehr, has the potential for the new-look FaZe franchise to return to the pinnacle of the CDL.

G2 Minnesota

G2 Minnesota, formerly known as Minnesota Rokkr, underwent a fresh coat of paint during the off-season, alongside unveiling a brand-new roster which aims to find consistency that eluded the franchise last season.

For Black Ops 7, the lineup is headlined by former World Champion Cesar ‘Skyz‘ Bueno, a player looking to rebuild after a turbulent stint under the OpTic Texas banner.

Completing the lineup is the trio of Justice ‘Estreal‘ McMillan, Kyle ‘Kremp‘ Haworth, and Paul ‘Mamba‘ Solano. Mamba makes the jump from Challengers after impressing on OMiT, while Kremp joins following a forgettable season on Cloud9 New York.

The mix of youth and experience makes G2 Minnesota’s new squad an interesting prospect that has the qualities required to earn places in the latter stages of Majors.

Los Angeles Thieves

The Los Angeles Thieves ended the 2024/25 season in excellent form, taking the final two Majors and putting itself in contention for Champs success. To the surprise of many, the franchise was dumped out at the earliest opportunity, recording a shock top-eight finish.

As a result, Ghosty and Envoy parted ways while aBeZy joined and Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams reunited with his former franchise.

Combined with the slaying power of Paco ‘HyDra‘ Rusiewiez and Thomas ‘Scrap‘ Ernst, the Thieves is in position to bounce back from a disappointing Champs performance.

Miami Heretics

For the first time in franchise history, Miami Heretics has moved away from an all-Spanish roster as it looks to improve on a mixed Black Ops 6 season.

In September, young Argentine prospect Nicolas ‘Traixx‘ Monaco joined the starting lineup alongside Adrian ‘MettalZ‘ Serrano, David ‘RenKoR‘ Isern, and Diego ‘SupeR‘ Escudero, a trio that’s no stranger to top-tier competition.

After scoring two top-three finishes in 2025, the Spaniards have impressed against their North American counterparts, and there’s every chance it finds itself in contention during Black Ops 7.

Two-time CDL champions OpTic Texas is the only franchise that has stuck with its lineup for the Black Ops 7 season.

After turning around its shock 0-18 record during the Black Ops 6 regular season, the signing of Mason ‘Mercules‘ Ramsey proved pivotal in the franchise successfully reversing its fortunes to defend its title won in 2024.

After winning the Monster Energy Launch Invitational, the Green Wall has already become the early frontrunner in Black Ops 7 as it begins its bid to become the first franchise to win three CDL Championship titles.

Paris Gentle Mates

With Gentle Mates relocating to the French capital for Black Ops 7 to form the Paris Gentle Mates, the 2025/26 season is the first time the CDL features one team from Los Angeles.

The former LA Thieves pair of Dylan ‘Envoy‘ Hannon and Daniel ‘Ghosty‘ Rothe reunite for another season, with Travis ‘Neptune‘ McCloud and Daunte ‘Sib‘ Gray rounding off a roster armed with a wealth of tournament experience.

The team finished second at the Launch Invitational, much to the delight of the passionate Gentle Mates fan base. After finishing 11th last season, Paris Gentle Mates has the ability to mark its debut with a strong showing.

Riyadh Falcons

Under the Las Vegas Falcons banner, the franchise succumbed to a disappointing 12th place last season, scoring three wins across 31 regular-season matches.

Former Atlanta FaZe stalwart McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel joins the franchise in search of a new challenge, joining forces with Amer ‘Pred‘ Zulbeari and Matthew ‘KiSMET‘ Tinsley. Notably, all three players have won a World Championship in the CDL era.

Rounding out the roster is Saud ‘Exnid‘ Alotai, a promising Saudi Arabian talent who looks to make an impact on the big stage.

José Manuel ‘ReeaL‘ Fernández joins the franchise for Black Ops 7 alongside the experienced trio of Tobias ‘CleanX‘ Juul Jønsson, Joseph ‘JoeDecieves‘ Romero, and Jamie ‘Insight‘ Craven to combine top North American and European talent.

Under its previous Toronto Ultra guise, the franchise finished on the podium twice before a slight downward turn of form resulted in top-six placements at Major 4 and Champs.

With a new squad bringing in a new era, it will be interesting to see if Toronto KOI can return to winning ways this season.

Vancouver Surge

The 12th and final franchise competing in the 2025/26 CDL season is Vancouver Surge, a franchise that made significant steps forward during the Black Ops 6 season.

Despite frequent Grand Final appearances, it decided to overhaul its roster for Black Ops 7 with a trio of exciting North American talent and a former World Champion.

Ronald ‘Abe‘ Abraham joins from Toronto KOI, while Isiah ‘Gwinn‘ Gwinn arrives after showing promise with the Carolina Royal Ravens. Former Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 player Noah ‘Lunarz‘ Whillock rounds out the American trio.

2024 Halo World Champion Kaci ‘Lqgend’ Sabri makes the switch to Call of Duty esports after finishing second at the 2025 World Championship under the OpTic Gaming banner. Several players have made the switch from Halo, with varying degrees of success, making Vancouver an interesting team to watch this season.
