Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series Details
Announced on November 20th, 2025, the Elite Series will feature 50 team captains from the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, who will pick their squad of four players to compete in matches.
Battlefield REDSEC matches will use both Battle Royale and Gauntlet game modes to determine the eventual winner. Each Qualifying Match Day features six Battle Royale matches, with the top eight qualifying for the Gauntlet to determine the eventual winner.

The top 250 teams with the highest cumulative score from ten Battle Royale and ten Gauntlet matches played across three days will secure a place in the season finals taking place on January 17th, 2026.
For each region, a $10,000 (~$7,644) prize pool is up for grabs during the season finals. The first Match Day of the Open Series takes place on December 12th.
Battlefield’s Esports History
Due to the large-scale nature of Battlefield games, adapting the franchise for esports competition has proven to be a challenging task. As a result, the title hasn’t developed a dedicated competitive ecosystem.
For Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, EA looks to capitalise on the rise of the battle royale genre as a platform for its esports initiatives. In November, it joined forces with Jack ‘CouRage‘ Dunlop to host the inaugural REDSEC tournament, won by Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek and Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An.
Alongside its new battle royale circuit, EA also plans on collaborating with the community to test formats that could feature as part of a competitive Battlefield 6 multiplayer circuit.
