The awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, California, on December 15th in collaboration with Riot Games and Red Bull. Fans can tune into the ceremony across TenZ’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
In addition to the date and location, the former Sentinels player shared that the finalists will be revealed at a later date. So far, the only award category confirmed is the Red Bull Clutch of the Year, with other categories being unveiled in the coming weeks.
VCT and Game Changers teams are also involved in the nominee selection process. Players and coaches will pick their top five nominees for each category using a point-based system. The three with the most points will become the finalists.
Since parting ways with Sentinels, TenZ has remained an active member of the VALORANT esports community. In November, TenZ attended the Red Bull Home Ground World Final event — which was won by G2 Esports — as a co-streamer.
TenZ is also no stranger to collaborating with Red Bull. In June, he became the latest esports personality to join the energy drink brand’s athlete programme, which continues to recruit players and content creators.
Award Ceremonies And Esports
Awards ceremonies focusing on a specific title are a growing trend within esports. October saw Supercell unveil the Clash Royale League 2025 Awards to celebrate the best moments from across the year.
Elsewhere, Eefje ‘Sjokz‘ Depoortere and Marc Robert ‘Caedrel‘ Lamont will host the second edition of The League Awards, marking notable achievements and moments from across the League of Legends esports ecosystem.
Released in 2020, VALORANT has cemented its place as one of the most popular esports titles in the world. In 2021, it won the Esports Game of the Year award at the Esports Awards, an annual ceremony celebrating the wider industry. 2025 saw the first-person shooter title fail to win an accolade after it missed out on Esports Game of the Year to League of Legends.
