
The group stage of BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 has come to an end, with eight of the world’s top Counter-Strike 2 teams competing in the final notable event before attention turns to the StarLadder Budapest Major.
With five of the top ten teams from the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) in action, the event is an opportunity for several notable names to continue building momentum heading into Counter-Strike’s tentpole tournament.

Of the eight teams in attendance, six have secured a place in the single-elimination playoff bracket. Before the action resumes, Esports Insider takes a closer look at the qualified teams and their journeys to the playoffs.
BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 Teams
October’s VRS determined four of the eight teams competing in Hong Kong, while the remaining four places were selected by BLAST as regional wildcards, adhering to Valve’s tournament operations rulebook.
The winners of the two groups have earned a place in the semi-final, with the teams that finished in second and third starting their playoff campaigns at the quarter-final stage.
FURIA

Fresh from victory at IEM Chengdu 2025, FURIA‘s strong run of form has continued in Hong Kong with victory in Group B. The team kicked off its group stage with victory over PaiN Gaming before taking down Team Vitality in a hard-fought contest, putting it in an excellent position to earn another Grand Final appearance.
The switch from AWPer to rifler has injected a new lease of life into Gabriel ‘FalleN‘ Toledo, who continues to demonstrate that age is no barrier to perform at the top level of esports.
Team Falcons
Team Falcons continues to build consistency with another strong showing in Group A. The Saudi Arabian organisation secured a closely contested 2-1 victory over Team Spirit, before rounding out the group with a 2-0 sweep of Passion UA.
After several months of coming close to outright victory, Team Falcons is discovering form at the right time. with Ilya ‘m0NESY‘ Osipov and Maksim ‘kyousuke‘ Lukin continuing to gain valuable LAN experience.
Team Spirit
Despite defeat to Team Falcons in its opening group stage match, Team Spirit still managed to navigate its way into the playoffs. With The MongolZ still finding its feet with Unudelger ‘Controlez‘ Baasanjargal on the starting lineup, the Russian organisation swept aside the Mongolians in the Group A elimination match.
Andrey ‘tN1R‘ Tatarinovich and Danil ‘donk‘ Kryshkovets led the charge from the outset, with the former scoirng an early 1v2 clutch on Dust II while the latter locked down Ancient’s B site with four clinical headshots.
PaiN Gaming

Since scoring a surprise top-four finish at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the all-Brazilian side of PaiN Gaming has struggled to build any momentum in the second half of 2025. As the South American wildcard, the team still managed to lock in a quarter-final place.
PaiN Gaming managed to give FURIA a run for its money in its opening Group B match before eventually losing 2-1. The team survived a late TYLOO fightback in the elimination match to advance with a 2-1 series win.
Team Vitality
The BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 playoffs marks Team Vitality‘s 17th playoff appearance in 2025, cementing the French organisation’s incredible consistency displayed throughout the year.
Team Vitality began its Group A match with a dominant 13-2 win on Overpass against TYLOO before the hometown team responded on Nuke with a 13-4 scoreline to level the series and force an Inferno decider. After locking down the B site, TYLOO fumbled a 2v5 post-plant, allowing Team Vitality to steal a 13-11 victory and a 2-1 series win.
The French organisation pushed FURIA to its limit in the winner’s match of Group B but fell short in the third and deciding map to lose the series 2-1 and begin the playoffs in the quarter-final.
Passion UA
The surprise of BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 comes in the form of Passion UA. The North American wildcard headed into the event after winning Urban Riga Open #1 in late September.
Passion UA displayed plenty of determination against The MongolZ to complete a reverse sweep and advance to Group A’s winner match against Team Falcons.
Despite displaying some solid offensive strategy, Passion UA was swept aside by Team Falcons, losing 13-11 on Train and 13-10 on Mirage. While it was a 2-0 sweep, the series was another strong showing for a team that could fly under the radar in Budapest.
BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 Playoff Matches
Following the conclusion of the group stage, the BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 playoff matches are set.
Passion UA takes on PaiN Gaming in the first quarter-final while a blockbuster clash between Team Vitality and Team Spirit concludes the day.
The winner of Passion UA and PaiN Gaming advances to take on an in-form FURIA in the semi-finals. Elsewhere, the victor of Team Vitality and Team Spirit moves on to battle Team Falcons.
Day 3 of BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 begins at 8 AM GMT and fans can tune into the action across BLAST’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
