The studio, co-founded by ex-Chelsea footballer James Ashton, features 50 gaming content creators from a range of titles. According to a release, Gallaxia is ‘the largest creator-led collective in the history of interactive entertainment,’ with over 200 million followers and 30 billion views spanning across the group’s social media channels.

Each creator involved with the project holds a range of benefits through Gallaxium Bars, digital assets that are connected to the revenue from every game launched by the studio.

“Gallaxia will revolutionise how a gaming and entertainment studio is built,” said Levinho, newly appointed co-owner of Gallaxia. “We’ve brought together the best possible team globally to do it in real time with the community. Finally, a game for the players, built by the players.”

The first game arriving on the Gallaxia chain is Planet-X, a treasure-hunt shooter title where players compete for real-world prizes. The title has already achieved over 300,000 sign-ups.

Gallaxia is partnering with NBA champion Isaiah Joe, who is dropping signed jerseys as prizes for players to compete for.

“Our goal is to build the next Riot Games but on a chain, co-owned by the community and the world’s best gamers and creators,” added Ashton.

Will Gallaxia Achieve Success?

With several high-profile content creators on board, Gallaxia’s launch has the potential to reach a huge audience across the world.

The studio says early test campaigns posted by the trio of co-owners have attracted over two million viewers and 10,000 new followers across two days.

Gallaxia has already attracted a roster of notable names in addition to collaborating with Isaiah Joe. It will be interesting to see the growth of Gallaxia and its impact on the wider gaming and esports ecosystems.
