Time for virtual racers to shine
The thrill of racing continues, this time in the world of e-motorsports for Toyota Motor Philippines.
The automaker has announced the start of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines eSports GT Championship – a virtual racing competition that’s aimed to discover new talent and offer a chance to represent the country in one of the biggest e-motorsports events in the world.

Using the Gran Turismo 7 platform, aspiring players can qualify at the comfort of their own homes or set their laps at select GR dealerships in the country. The TGR Philippines eSports GT Championship is open to players aged 14 and up, and should either be a permanent resident, or a citizen of the Philippines during the tournament schedules.

Last year, Luis Moreno, Russel Reyes and Enzo Ison were the top 3 finalists of TGR GT Cup Philippines. They were sent to represent the country in the Asia Finals in Malaysia where they netted a strong finish. Moreno and Reyes went on to graduate and race the Vios OMR in this year’s Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup, where Moreno claimed the Novice Class title while last year’s Novice Class Champion Reyes finished runner-up in the Sporting Class.
The qualifying rounds will be open from August 9 to September 14, 2025. The fastest players will then be invited to participate in the national finals which will be held on October 11-12, 2025 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. Cash prizes and original Gazoo Racing merchandise could be up for grabs for successful participants.
Toyota Motor Philippines has already opened the dedicated registration site for the eSports GT Championship, which can be searched through their official social media channels. So for aspiring GT players in the country, better fire up your Playstations and log those practice laps in. It’s your time to shine.
