Over the entirety of IEM Cologne 2025 , a total of 8,940 kills were scored along with 546 plants across the 1,619 rounds that took place.
With just 33% of rounds featuring a plant, the majority of rounds were determined by teams eliminating opponents rather than the attackers successfully detonating the objective.
With statistics provided by GRID, ESL FACEIT Group‘s official match data partner, Esports Insider looks further into the numbers to showcase the best players from across both IEM Cologne stages and the Playoffs.

IEM Cologne’s Star Players
It’s no surprise to see that the statistics favour the event’s winners, Team Spirit, with the organisation claiming its third tier-one trophy of the year so far.
In particular, Team Spirit‘s Danil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets was the most impactful player of the tournament, scoring a kill-to-death ratio of 1.42 and an average damage output of 654.31 per map. The 18-year-old was also named the event’s overall MWP.
Donk’s teammate, Dmitry ‘sh1ro‘ Sokolov, scored the highest K/D ratio of the event, with a 1.50, topping the charts. Sh1ro also earned the accolade of the most efficient player, scoring approximately 20 eliminations per map.
MOUZ’s Ádám ‘torzsi‘ Torzsás also stood out thanks to his consistently high in-game impact. A 1.40 K/D and a 3,797 damage differential across 15 maps resulted in him being the top performer of his team, which finished the event in second place.
Other notable statistics include NAVI’s Valerii ‘b1t’ Vakhovskyi scoring the highest headshot percentage of 64.94% while FURIA’s Danil ‘molodoy’ Golubenko excelled on the big stage with a 1.40 K/D ratio and a 260 damage differential per map.
GRID and ESL FACEIT Group
IEM Cologne was the first event with GRID as a data partner for ESL FACEIT Group, the competition’s organiser. The two parties joined forces in July, signing a multi-year partnership, with GRID becoming the distributor, infrastructure, and integrity partner of all of ESL’s CS2 and Dota 2 tournaments.
GRID captures the data directly from the game servers through its technology to ensure the information collected is accurate before being distributed to industry stakeholders.
Alongside ESL FACEIT Group, the data company has also collaborated with the likes of BLAST, StarLadder, and the recently defunct YaLLa Esports.
The most recent data collaboration from GRID shed light on the player performances at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, which also revealed donk as the most effective player of the tournament thanks to his average eliminations and damage output.
The data collected from tournaments is a useful tool for event organisers to create content and to provide additional context to storylines between the teams competing.
