Team Falcons, G2 Esports, and FURIA are among the first wave of invited teams competing at FISSURE Playground 2.

Virtus.pro and Astralis have also accepted invitations to the event, marking the second time the two organisations have competed at a FISSURE Playground event this year.
Rounding out the first wave of confirmed teams is Aurora Gaming. The Turkish side will be fielding a full-strength line-up after İsmailcan ‘XANTARES’ Dörtkardeş returned to the roster after missing IEM Cologne 2025 due to personal matters.
The announcement means at least six of the top 13 teams from July’s Valve Regional Standings (VRS) will be attending the event, taking place at the Belgrade Arena in the Serbian capital. The remaining ten teams competing have yet to be revealed.
The 16 teams in attendance will be battling for the event’s $1.25m (~£938,512) prize pool and VRS points that determine which teams will earn a place at the upcoming Budapest Major in November.
Notably, FISSURE Playground 2 will clash with StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025, another event using the July VRS to determine which teams receive an invitation. As a result, organisations will have to decide which tournament to compete in.

FURIA is the highest-ranked team announced for FISSURE Playground 2 so far. Currently ranked sixth in the August VRS, the Brazilian organisation has made strides with Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo at the helm.
For Team Falcons, the event is another opportunity to gain valuable LAN experience following the signing of Maksim ‘kyousuke’ Lukin in June.
