Fnatic has signed Cai ‘Cypher’ Watson to complete its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) line-up for the remainder of the 2025 season.
The British rifler joins the UK-based esports organisation after a five-month stint representing BC.GAME Esports.

Cypher fills the space on Fnatic’s CS2 line-up left by Matúš ‘MATYS’ Šimko, who joined G2 Esports during the post-Major player shuffle.
Cypher is most known for his time representing Into the Breach, a UK-based organisation that made it to the Playoffs of the BLAST.tv Paris Major in 2023. Since his appearance at the Playoffs, Cypher has also competed for the likes of TSM and BLEED Esports.
Over the past 12 months, Cypher has continued to establish himself as one of the UK’s best Counter-Strike players, scoring wins across several online CCT and Thunderpick World Championship events, as well as a second place at MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2024.
Fnatic is an iconic name within Counter-Strike esports, becoming the first organisation to win three Major trophies in 2013 and 2015.
More recently, however, the team has struggled to reach those heights. Fnatic failed to qualify for ESL Pro League Season 22 but managed to win Conquest of Prague 2025 in June.
What Next For Fnatic?
Ranked 29th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), Fnatic continues to hold on a place in the top 32. The new lineup will be in action on August 1st at RES Showdown 2 which is being used as a closed qualifier for BLAST Open London taking place in September.
The team continues to compete in CCT Season 3 European Series #4 and is one of 32 teams set to compete in BLAST Bounty Season 2. Both events will provide the team with a chance to cement its place within the top 32 of the VRS, which will determine the teams qualifying for the Budapest Major later this year.
