Biggest Headlines Ahead of the BLAST Premier Open 2025
Out of the top 12 teams invited, Teams Falcons (ranked sixth) and 3DMAX (ranked 13th) have refused the invitation. However, fans can watch Team Falcons in action at the Esports World Cup in August, and the ESL Pro League Season 22 in September.
Team Vitality enters the tournament as one of the favourites to not only qualify, but potentially win the BLAST Premier Open. This is based on its impressive performance in 2025 so far, winning past Counter-Strike events such as the BLAST.tv Austin Major and topping Valve’s Global Rankings since April.
Team Spirit are entering the BLAST Premier Open as the team to beat after winning the BLAST Premier Spring Final in 2024. The organisation has showcased a strong performance this year, winning PGL Astana 2025 and coming second in the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice. However, only time will tell if the team can retain its crown or be overthrown.
