The Saudi Arabian organisation is the only team from the top five in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) to skip the event, with Team VitalityTeam SpiritMOUZ and The MongolZ all accepting a place in the Play-Ins.

The tournament’s online phase begins on August 5th, two days after the conclusion of IEM Cologne, while the LAN phase concludes on August 17th, three days before CS2 heads to the Esports World Cup on August 20th.

In addition to Team Falcons, GamerLegionLynn Vision and 3DMAX have also declined the invitation to participate in the 32-team tournament, which will feature most of the teams from the global VRS.

Teams competing will battle it out for a share of a $500,000 (~£371,563) prize pool and all-important VRS points that will determine the 32 teams that qualify for the Budapest Major in November.

Before revealing the teams, the event organiser unveiled a range of changes to BLAST Bounty Season 2’s seeding and prize money structure, with the aim of incentivising teams to place higher bounties on their opponents.
