The Predecessor Championship Circuit (PCC) Summer series has crowned its North American (NA) and European (EU) champions,

In the end, Team Immune defeated Vennyvens Mennymens (VM) 3-0 in EU, while Flowstate beat Mythic 3-0 in NA. These teams have now made history, becoming the first champions within Omeda Studios’ freshly established esports scene.

The tournaments, which have accumulated over 30,000 views on the official Twitch channel, took place from July 12th to 13th 2025, following the results of the Summer preliminaries in June.

PCC saw a $20,000 (~£14,868) prize pool on the line for each region, with first place taking 60%, second taking 30%, and third taking 10% split equally among each team player.

With the winner of NA and EU decided, all eyes are now on the Grand Finals, where the region’s champions will play head-to-head for the lion’s share of the prize pool.

Both EU and NA saw landslide 3-0 victories, but the game’s played out in different ways. Team Immune saw a tough battle against VM in the EU Finals, as VM almost seized a comeback victory on multiple occasions. On the other hand, Flowstate showed a more consistent performance throughout, using a meta team composition to overwhelm Mythic.

What is Predecessor?

Predecessor is a free-to-play, third-person MOBA game currently being developed by London-based Omeda Studios. It is both the resurrection and successor to the 2016 Paragon title developed by Epic Games, which was shuttered in 2018.

Following its closure, Epic Games made Paragon’s assets available to the public. Robbie Singh, an online content creator, then co-founded Omeda Studios, and acquired Paragon in 2021. After raising $22m (~£16.3m) in funding, and four years of development, Paragon re-released as Predecessor in August 2024.

Omeda Studios is now looking to continue the esports momentum it has established since its first event back in April, with the Predecessor Championship Circuit Fall Series scheduled to begin in September.
