The Championship Challenge is a temporary competition within Brawl Stars, held on a monthly basis. Players are required to secure a set number of wins while avoiding a loss limit (usually four).
These are all the maps and modes for the Championship Challenge:
| Map | Mode |
| Deathcap Trap | Gem Grab – hold 10 gems until the countdown ends |
| Ring of Fire | Hot Zone – Charge a zone to 100% before the enemy team |
| Sneaky Fields | Brawl Ball – Score two goals to win |
| Layer Cake | Bounty – Claim more stars than the enemy by securing kills |
| Safe Zone | Heist – Destroy the enemy safe while protecting your own |
Participants must have 800 trophies or more to compete, and everyone’s stats are upgraded to Power Level 11 while playing in the challenge. This in-game event is important because players who complete the challenge and are aged 16 or over, may partake in the Monthly Qualifier.
The Monthly Qualifier is scheduled to be held on February 4th, 2026, and serves as a direct pathway to the Monthly Finals. Players who secure enough points through the Monthly Qualifiers and Finals will qualify for the World Finals, which boasts a $1m (~£724,500) prize pool.
As the upcoming Championship Challenge is the first one to be held this season, it is also the first chance for players to potentially climb the leaderboard in their run for the 2026 Brawl Stars World Finals.
Brawl Stars Esports in 2026
The Championship Challenge kickstarts the next season of Brawl Stars esports, which is distributing $2m (~£1.46m) in winnings throughout the year.
First unveiled on January 26th, 2026, the roadmap consists of the Monthly Qualifiers and Finals, deciding the teams that will play in the Brawl Cup, Last Chance Qualifier, and the coveted World Finals.
The ecosystem itself will feature five regions just like in 2025, inviting players from EMEA, Americas, APAC, and China for a chance to be crowned this year’s champion.
The Brawl Stars World Finals 2025, which took place in DreamHack Stockholm, saw Crazy Raccoon defeat HMBLE 3-0 in the Grand Finals. Only time will tell whether the organisation’s players can defend their title this year, or if 2026 will crown a new champion later this November.
