So far, Garena has announced the schedule for Free Fire World Series (FFWS) SEA. The tournament will happen across two seasons as follows:
- Spring Season: April 24th to May 31st
- Fall Season: August 14th to September 20th
Other regional tournaments, which will feed into international events, will occur around the same timeline.
Free Fire to Host Two International Esports Events in 2026
The two international Free Fire esports events taking place this year will be the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 and the FFWS Global Finals.
EWC – Free Fire will take place from July 15th to 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the battle royale title returns to this year’s edition for the third time. A total of 24 teams are set to compete, with defending champion EVOS Esports earning a coveted slot already.

The FFWS Global Finals, on the other hand, will begin on November 6th and will happen across four weeks in Bangkok, Thailand. The winner of the EWC will earn a direct invite to this tournament. A total of 24 teams will compete in this year’s edition.
Garena Invests in the United States Ecosystem
Garena is also launching a new competitive circuit for the US in 2026. This comes after it ramped up tournaments in 2025, bringing the United States Championship (FFUSC) with a cumulative $60,000 in prize money.
Now, the FFWS is coming to the region. Unlike other regions with two seasons, it will happen four times throughout the year:
- Spring Season: March and April (Champion will qualify for the EWC)
- Summer Season: May and June (Seeding tournament for fall season)
- Fall Season: August and September (Top teams will qualify for the FFWS Global Finals 2026)
- Winter Season: December 2026 and January 2027 (Top teams will advance to the FFWS USA Spring 2027)
Garena said in a release that focus areas include open qualifiers, grassroots competitions, and community-driven tournaments.
Clash Squad Esports and Ramadan Cup 2026
Besides the main competitive circuit, Garena will also bring other esports tournaments for fans and players.
This includes a Clash Squad tournament, which will happen as a standalone tournament in March 2026. Garena has said that it will not be connected to the FFWS qualification system. More details have not been announced yet.

Furthermore, Garena is bringing the Free Fire Ramadan Cup 2026 with 18 teams from the following regions:
- Malaysia: 4 teams
- Indonesia: 2 teams
- Bangladesh: 6 teams
- Pakistan: 6 teams
It will begin with the Knockout Stage from February 21st to 23rd, where the teams will be divided into three groups of six teams each. The top 12 will then advance to the Grand Final on February 28th, which will follow a Champion Rush format.
