Level Infinite has announced major changes to the Honor of Kings global esports structure for the 2026 competitive season. The update introduces a new cross regional competition, the Honor of Kings Major League, known as KML.
The KML merges three existing competitions. These include the Wildcard Kings Series, the Major West League, and the Major East League. The consolidation forms a single global league designed to raise competitive balance and streamline international play.
Alongside the KML, four national leagues will operate during the 2026 season. These leagues cover Indonesia through the IKL, the Philippines through the PKL, Malaysia through the MKL, Brazil through CHOKBR, and the new KML structure. Professional teams from Hong Kong and Macau will also rejoin the Chinese Mainland competitive ecosystem.
Through these changes, Level Infinite reduces the total number of global Honor of Kings leagues from seven to five. The update aligns with broader plans to strengthen worldwide competition and support regional growth. The King Pro League based in China continues as a separate franchised competition.
Level Infinite also confirmed updates to roster rules for the 2026 season. Each team must register at least five players and no more than seven. One non resident player per team is allowed.
Each roster must include at least two players who reside in the country represented by the team. A minimum of four players must reside within the broader regional division. Players from the Greater China division will count as import players in all other divisions without exception.
The updated structure and roster rules aim to promote competitive balance while giving regional talent a clearer pathway to international competition.
Summary
Level Infinite has introduced the Honor of Kings Major League for the 2026 season, merging three regional leagues into one global competition. Updated roster rules support regional representation while strengthening the global Honor of Kings esports ecosystem.
