Red Bull WOLOLO 2026: Format

Red Bull WOLOLO 2026 will see top players from around the globe compete across Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition as well as Age of Empires IV.

Both competitions will be divided into three phases. The Group Stages from April 1st to 3rd will take place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch. For the Playoffs from April 4th to 5th, the event will move to the Odeon Luxe Cinema on Leicester Square.

The Grand Final will be held at the Royal Albert Hall on April 6th. In addition, a 40-piece orchestra will be performing the game’s soundtrack for the over 2,5000 Grand Final attendees.

For Age of Empires II, two groups of four players each must first survive the round robin Group Stage. The top four competitors will then advance to the single-elimination Playoffs bracket and battle for the $170,000 (~£128,000) total prize pool.

The Age of Empires IV event, on the other hand, will offer a $40,000 (~£30,000) prize pool. The winner will be determined through a 1-versus-1 single-elimination bracket. Open Qualifiers for both titles already start in January 2026.
