Peyz joins T1 as its new ADC for 2026

Korean esports organisation and current world champion T1 has officially announced the signing of its new ADC player, Kim ‘Peyz‘ Su-hwan.

The soon-to-be 20-year-old will replace Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyeong in the bot lane, who announced his departure from the team earlier this month.

With this move, the organisation officially completed its roster for the 2026 LCK season as T1 aims to fight for a fourth consecutive world championship.

According to the official announcement by T1, Peyz has signed a contract with the team until 2028, one year before Faker’s newly signed contract comes to an end. Given the duration of the deal, it’s clear that T1 is looking to foster the youngster into another superstar for the team.

Peyz is One of the Most Talented Youngsters

Raised through the Gen.G academy since the age of 14, Peyz was considered one of the most promising Korean talents when he first made his debut with Gen.G in the 2023 season. He won three LCK titles, recorded a top-four finish at Worlds 2024, and was crowned an MSI champion over the following two years.

Peyz moved to the LPL in 2025 to play with JD Gaming, but after a few ups and downs, the team failed to qualify for this year’s Worlds. Nonetheless, the ADC player was often the most consistent player on the roster, often carrying his team when possible.

T1 will now have the tough task of integrating Peyz, who has a more aggressive playstyle compared to Gumayusi, with the rest of the team. The team’s ability to find a strong dynamic and synergy, especially with support Ryu ‘Keria‘ Min-seok, will likely decide T1’s potential in the coming season.

Peyz’ first match as a T1 player will likely be at Red Bull League of Its Own, which takes place at the SAP Garden in Germany on November 29th. After that, the new T1 roster is set to compete in the KeSPA Cup 2025, which will kick off one week later on December 6th.
