Marvel Rivals has been nominated for Stream Game of the Year at the 2025 Streamer Awards.
The hero shooter will compete with fellow nominees Clair Obscure: Expedition 33, R.E.P.O., Peak and Schedule I in its category.

The Streamer Awards is an annual awards show, organised by content creator QTCinderella, that celebrates achievements in the live-streaming industry.
This year’s edition will be broadcast on December 7th at 11 PM BST on QTCinderella’s Twitch channel. Until November 30th, fans can also vote for their favourite streamers and brands.
Like other titles in its category, Marvel Rivals is a relatively new game that generated significant hype around its release in December 2024.
Since then, NetEase Games’ hero shooter has also gained the attention of esports enthusiasts as well as notable esports organisations. The likes of Sentinels, NAVI and 100 Thieves have formed Marvel Rivals rosters throughout 2025.
However, Sentinels paused its operations earlier this month, explaining that it would “revisit the decision” if “NetEase roll out a programme with team incentives”.
Most recently, Marvel Rivals concluded its inaugural Ignite series, a tier-one circuit with regional and international tournaments. Its Grand Finals event saw Virtus.pro take home the lion’s share of the $1m (~£745,000) prize pool.
How Popular are Marvel Rivals Streams?
According to esports data platform Esports Charts, the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals recorded 78,171 peak viewers and just under 1.4m hours watched during its 50-hour airtime.
Looking at the game’s overall streaming popularity, Marvel Rivals couldn’t make the top 20 most-watched categories across all major streaming platforms in the past 30 days. On Twitch, the title generated 12.6m hours watched and 136,937 peak viewers in the same time span.
In comparison, esports titles League of Legends, Counter-Strike and VALORANT rank second, tenth, and eleventh. Their Twitch watch hours for the past 30 days are 91.7m, 46.1m and 35.1m, respectively.
Still, Marvel Rivals is the only esports title nominated for Stream Game of the Year and the only one with a dedicated Streamer Awards category, called Marvel Rivals Streamer of the Year. The nominees in this category are Flats, Bigpuffer, bogur, supertf and TimTheTatman.
