The organisation’s new line-up was revealed through a nearly two-minute trailer online, showcasing highlight plays from the athletes in past seasons.

These are the new players who have joined Cloud9 New York:

  • Marcus ‘Afro‘ Reid
  • Ben ‘Beans‘ McMellon
  • Makenzie ‘Mack‘ Kelley
  • Reece ‘Vivid‘ Drost

American players Mack and Vivid previously played for OMiT, a team that oversaw several victories in the Call of Duty Challengers scene. Both players placed first in the 2025 DreamHack Open, winning 4-1 against Team Orchid, and were the winners of the 2025 Call of Duty Challengers Finals, defeating OMiT Brooklyn 4-0.

British player Afro previously represented Team Notorious, a roster that won the Challengers 2025 Miami Open after narrowly defeating Team WaR 4-3 in the Grand Finals. Finally, Beans last played for Toronto Ultra in CDL, a team that reached the 2025 CDL Championship Playoffs before losing to Vancouver Surge 0-3.

The new team was revealed a day before Activision released Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on November 14th, 2025, the highly anticipated first-person shooter that will shape the next season of Call of Duty esports.
