The cinematic titled ‘Still Legendary’ establishes the theme of the new set, which covers the lore of Runeterra, the main setting of League of Legends.
The video’s medley also featured Alex ‘Mako‘ Seaver, known for working on the League of Legends show Arcane’s soundtrack, as well as some of the past anthems for Worlds.
Julien Camaraza, Lead Set Designer for Teamfight Tactics: Lore and Legends, said: “Teamfight Tactics: Lore & Legends is a celebration of Runeterra and some key moments in its history. We’ve done Runeterran sets before, but this takes things to a whole new level. I don’t want to say too much, but I think there’s something in this set that will excite every kind of player.”
A full global reveal for the upcoming set is scheduled to occur during the K.O Coliseum’s Tactician’s Crown on November 14th to 16th, 2025. Lore and Legends will be released on PC and mobile on December 3rd, 2025 in Patch 16.1.
The TFT Paris Open
The new set will be used for the upcoming TFT Paris Open 2025, which runs from December 12th to 14th, 2025.
The tournament’s main event will feature more than 768 players from around the world. They will compete in an open bracket for the lion’s share of a prize pool worth over $300,000 (~£228,600), with the winner hoisting TFT’s Tacticians Belt.
Peter Whalen, Game Director for Teamfight Tactics, said: “Lore & Legends is the biggest set we’ve ever done, delivering over 15 years of Runeterra lore through a unique mechanic and unforgettable champions.
“I can’t wait for players to play and then join in for the ultimate celebration of Teamfight Tactics at the TFT Paris Open in December.”
