Minnesota Rokkr and Atlanta FaZe potentially rebranding following new trademarks

Call of Duty League (CDL) franchises Minnesota Rokkr and Atlanta FaZe are potentially undergoing a rebrand ahead of the 2026 season.

The franchises — owned by G2 Esports and FaZe Clan, respectively — have filed new trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, signalling logo refreshes and name changes.

Delaware-based FaZe Media Inc has recently filed a trademark for new logos that combine the esports organisation’s branding with the word Vegas.

The potential rebrand of Atlanta FaZe to Las Vegas FaZe is linked to Vegas Falcons‘ recent relocation to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, resulting in the Las Vegas franchise slot opening up.

Atlanta FaZe isn’t the only franchise considering a rebrand. Minnesota Rokkr has also trademarked a new logo, seemingly confirming a change of name. Instead of Minnesota Rokkr, the franchise has trademarked a logo displaying the G2 Minnesota name.

G2 Esports returned to Call of Duty esports in late 2023 after Version1 entered a strategic partnership with the organisation. As a result of the deal, G2 received operating rights to the franchise.

The filing of trademarks doesn’t necessarily mean a rebrand is imminent. However, in the case of Atlanta FaZe, the logos do add to growing speculation surrounding a potential relocation to Las Vegas.

More CDL Rebranding

If Minnesota Rokkr and Atlanta FaZe proceed with their rebrand, the 2026 CDL season will be the first in which none of the original franchise names from the league’s 2020 launch will remain.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 season will already feature one new name, with the Vegas Falcons rebranding to the Riyadh Falcons for the upcoming season.

In addition to Minnesota and Atlanta, it is rumoured that Toronto Ultra is also set to undergo a rebrand, replacing its existing name with Toronto KOI, integrating OverActive Media‘s KOI brand.
