The International 2025 adds Yakutou Brothers to team list

Yakutou Brothers, also known as Yakult Brothers, has become a last-minute addition to The International 2025 team line-up.

The Chinese team has filled the spot left by Gaimin Gladiators after it withdrew from Dota 2’s season-ending event.

Announced on August 27th, The International’s X account shared the news of Yakutou Brothers becoming the latest team fighting to claim the Aegis of Champions.

Yakutou Brothers becomes the third Chinese team to compete at this year’s edition of The International, joining Team Tidebound and Xtreme Gaming as the region’s representatives in the 16-team event beginning on September 4th.

The direct invitation to The International 2025 gives Yakutou Brothers another chance to compete after finishing second to Xtreme Gaming in the Chinese regional qualifiers.

Following Gaimin Gladiator’s withdrawal from the event, it was rumoured that OG Esports would take its place as the team that finished the Western Europe qualifier in third place.

Yakutou Brothers is one of China’s most notable Dota 2 teams and often competes in various Tier 1 tournaments across the globe. Throughout 2025, the team has frequently appeared in the latter stages of events, scoring top-six finishes at BLAST Slam II and DreamLeague Season 26, along with second at ACL x ESL Challenger China.

The players are no strangers to competing on Dota 2’s biggest stage. Flyfly, Emo, and Oli have previously competed together under Invictus Gaming, placing fourth at The International 2021. BoBoKa also secured a top-four finish in 2022, under the Team Aster banner.

Beyond also has experience at The International, scoring a top-16 placement in 2024 while representing Team Zero.
