What to Expect at the FNCS Global Championship 2025
The Global Championship of FNCS’ 19th season will run from September 6th to 7th, 2025. For the first time, it will be a trios tournament instead of duos, as it’s historically been for past championships. There will be 12 games played across two days, six games each, where the 33 trio teams compete to score the highest placements and number of eliminations possible.
The highest-scoring team will be crowned this year’s World Champion and receive the grand prize of $450,000 (~£333,250), the lion’s share of a $2.001m (~£1.48m) prize pool.
All participating trios have directly qualified through the three Majors that were held throughout the year. Each Major held Divisional Cups across six major regions, alongside a Last Chance Lobby, before competing in the regional Grand Finals, where the top trios earned a qualification to the Global Championship.
Biggest Headlines Ahead of the FNCS Global Championship

Originally, the trio ‘danath‘, ‘Mace‘, and ‘Skits‘ were set to compete, but were disqualified after Skits was banned, so their spot was up for grabs in Oceania’s Major 3.
Furthermore, trio ‘Verman‘, ‘Solvey‘, and ‘favoq‘ were disqualified after it was found that Skits was playing and cheating on his account in the Oceania Major 3 Finals. Their qualification spot for the Global Championship was instead passed to the major’s third-placed team, Bryson ‘VortexM‘, ‘m0untain‘, and ‘Goofy.’
Some of the top players to look out for include the popular Fortnite streamer and co-owner of esports organisation XSET. He has qualified after placing second in the Major 2 NA Central Grand Finals, and will be competing alongside Ben ‘Batman Bugha‘ Anderson, otherwise known as ‘Higgs‘, and Jaxon ‘Eomzo‘ Fretz.
They will be facing off against players such as Team Falcons’ Peter ‘Peterbot‘ Kata, a top-tier player in the American scene. In 2025 alone, he has won events such as the FNCS 2025 Pro-Am and the Major 3 Grand Finals in NA Central. In 2024, he won the Global Championship in Fort Worth, United States, alongside Miguel “Pollo” Moreno. In the upcoming trio Global Championship, he will be playing alongside Twisted Minds’ Joshua ‘Cold‘ Butler and XSET’s Maguire ‘Ritual‘ Morton to defend his title.
