
Gen.G has announced that it is letting go of four players from its Marvel Rivals roster following the conclusion of the Ignite Mid Season Finals.
The departures are part of significant roster changes for the organisation as it prepares for Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 2 later this year.

The players who have left the organisation as of August 19th, 2025, are:
- Shin ‘Dotori’ Hyun-jong – Strategist
- Jung ‘FUNFUN’ Seung-hyun – Vanguard
- Bae ‘KAIDIA’ Jung-hyun – Duellist
- Jung ‘Xzi’ Ki-hyo – Duellist
Players such as FUNFUN and Dotori have shared on social media that they are looking for new organisations to sign with. As it stands, only Choi ‘Brownie’ Min-gi, Sin ‘CHOPPA’ Jae-hyeon and Jung ‘Snake’ Rae-won remain on the team.
In a post online, Gen.G commented: “Today, we announce the departure of KAIDIA, FUNFUN, Dotori and Xzi from our Marvel Rivals team. We thank them for their time repping the gold and black, and wish them the best in their future endeavours.”
Gen.G’s Journey in Marvel Rivals so far

Gen.G announced its official arrival into Marvel Rivals on May 15th, 2025, after revealing its new roster of players.
However, Gen.G did participate in Marvel Rivals beforehand, playing in the Season 1: Eternal Night Falls Championship with an academy roster. After placing runner-up in that competition, Gen.G officially entered the scene with four members of the original roster and three new members from the winning team Uprise, which included FUNFUN, CHOPPA and Brownie.
The organisation has competed in several notable events. It was invited to The Shroud Gauntlet back on May 17th, where it placed fifth overall after losing to Sentinels 1-2 in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.
In Asia Ignite Stage 1, Gen.G ended the tournament as runners-up after losing 3-4 to REJECT in the Grand Finals. Come the Ignite Mid-Season Finals, and Gen.G became the first team to be eliminated after losing to ENVY 0-2 in the Play-In Stage.
Gen.G have been invited to Ignite Stage 2 based on its Stage 1 performance. Exact dates for the competition have yet to be revealed, but it is expected to take place between September and October. However, as of writing, Gen.G have yet to announce replacements for the roster.

Sentinels recently revealed that it had parted ways with three members of its Marvel Rivals roster. Furthermore, the Ignite Mid Season Finals Champions roster announced it was leaving Rad EU and is in search of a new organisation to sign with.
