In a post online, SpaceStation Gaming said: “Some of the coolest SSG pros ever, sucks to see these guys go. Thank you seeker, Kellan, and Bliss, best of luck to you gents.”

Each player has since announced on their socials that they are actively looking for new organisations to sign up with. In response to the announcement, Bliss wrote: “I cant forget the support I’ve received for 8 months thank you so much to the SSSG fans and SSG.”

In light of the recent departures, this is the current SSG roster:

  • Christopher ‘Cjay’ Smith – Support
  • Kamden ‘Sugarfree’ Hijada – Damage
  • Alejandro ‘scissors’ Léon – Damage (Substitute)
  • Ryan ‘squid’ Ruffell – Support (Substitute)

SpaceStation Gaming’s Performance During Stage 2

The news follows SSG’s mixed performance in OWCS NA Stage 2. In the Regular Season, SpaceStation Gaming placed fourth with a 4-3 win/loss ratio and 14-11 Map wins and losses.

However in the end, the organisation failed to qualify for the Mid-Season Championship after being eliminated by NTMR in the Lower Bracket Semi-finals of the Regional Playoffs with a landslide 0-3 defeat.

Despite falling short, there were some notable achievements. For example, seeker and Kamden ‘Sugarfree’ Hijada achieved two match MVPs each during the course of the competition, with Kellan awarded one.

The departures are the latest changes SSG is making to its roster. Back on July 26th, SSG’s former coach, Max ‘Unter’ Unterwurzacher, also left the organisation after joining earlier this year. As of writing, replacements have yet to be announced.
