Marvel Rivals has released its latest balance patch of buffs and nerfs coming to the game’s roster shortly after revealing the Season 3.5 update.

In this patch, some of the most dominant characters in Season 3 have been toned down. Here is everything fans need to know about the latest changes ahead of the Mid-Season update.

Vanguards: Groot Becomes Even Stronger

Magneto has been nerfed through his Metal and Iron Bulwark shields, which have been reduced from 300 to 250 health.

However, Dr Strange and Groot, two of the most popular Vanguards in the game, are seeing buffs. Groot has had his effective range increased, and Dr Strange sees greater aggression with his kit.

  • Dr Strange
    • Increase Daggers of Denak projectile charges from 8 to 10.
    • Reduce Cloak of Levitation cooldown from 15s to 12s.
  • Groot
    • Increase Vine Strike range from 20m to 22m.
    • Increase Flora Colossus range from 20m to 24m.

Thor will see the most drastic changes out of all the Vanguards, as he has been struggling this season. He gains a new effect to his Lightning Realm ability, which can now ground enemies.

  • Thor
    • Gain one Thorforce upon exiting the Awakening Rune state.
    • Lightning Realm: Enemies leaving its boundary are Grounded for 2s, restricting aerial abilities.

Duellists: Wolverine and Black Panther Nerfed

Wolverine and Black Panther have quickly become some of the best Duellists in the game, and will be weakened heading into the new update.

  • Wolverine
    • Increased energy cost of Last Stand (Ultimate Ability) from 2800 to 3400.
    • Lifesteal from the Primal Flame – Phoenix Warrior Team-Up Ability no longer charges Ultimate Ability.
  • Black Panther
    • Increase Spirit Rend cooldown from 8s to 10s

Star Lord is returning to form, whilst Spider-Man and Iron Fist are bouncing back after receiving several nerfs.

  • Star Lord
    • Gain 25 Bonus Health when using Stellar Shift (max 25), lasting 3s before decaying to 0 over 1s.
  • Iron Fist
    • Increase Jeet Kune Do’s fifth strike damage from 50 to 55.
    • Increase Yat Jee Chung Kuen percentage damage of the enemy’s Max Health per strike from 2.1% to 2.7%.
    • Adjust Harmony Recovery Bonus Health decay start time from 1s to 2s.
    • Increase K’un-Lun Kick’s first strike damage from 30 to 35.
  • Spider-Man
    •  Increase Damage per second of Spectacular Spin (Ultimate Ability) from 150 to 170.

Strategists: Adam Warlock and Mantis buffed

Adam Warlock and Manties will see key buffs to improve their outgoing healing and ability to keep the team alive. This is to help them compete with some of the best healers in the game.

  • Adam Warlock
    • Reduce the energy cost of Karmic Revival (Ultimate Ability) from 5000 to 4700.
    • Karmic Revival New Effect: Revived allies gain Bonus Health equal to 70% of Maximum Heath, which lasts for 5s before decaying to 0 over 2s.
    • Cosmic Cluster New Effect: Each hit now reduces Avatar Life Stream charge times by 0.3s.
  • Mantis
    • Increase healing by 10% with the new Team-Up Anchor effect.
    • Reduce Healing Flower’s Healing Over Time effect from 12.5/s to 10/s.
    • Reduce Life Energy Blast projectile charges from 20 to 15
    • Increase Soul Resurgence (Ultimate Ability) excess healing to Bonus Health conversion rate from 0.7 to 1.

On the other hand, Cloak & Dagger have skyrocketed in popularity, and as such, their ultimate ability has been nerfed.

  • Cloak & Dagger
    • Increase the energy cost of Eternal Bond (Ultimate Ability) from 4000 to 4300.
