North American esports organisation Dignitas has announced a collaboration with the AI decentralised cloud infrastructure Theta Labs.
According to a release, the partnership will see Dignitas bring its mascot ‘Digi’ to life as an AI agent. Scheduled to launch on July 23rd, the agent will serve the DIG community, becoming an always-on fan resource and acting as a live tournament for DIGFort, Dignitas’ 70,000+ grassroots competitive Fortnite Tournament server.

Digi will be trained to answer questions to ensure smoother and efficient communications operations during DIGFort tournaments. Additionally, the AI agent will also give fans immediate access to tournament information, player statistics and team updates across all of DIG’s competitive titles.
This is not the first time Theta Labs has worked with an esports team. Several other North American esports organisations have used Theta’s technology, including Cloud9, NRG Esports, FlyQuest and Evil Geniuses.
Dignitas in 2025
Founded in 2003 by Michael ‘ODEE’ O’Dell and later acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016, Dignitas is a long-standing organisation in the esports space, having won a total of 18 world championships throughout its existence.
The company is mainly known for its success in Rocket League, having won back-to-back RLCS World Championships, as well as several FNCS Major victories in Fortnite. The team currently also competes in League of Legends in the LTA North and VALORANT, and previously competed in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Jake Clements, Vice President of Partnerships for Dignitas, commented on the partnership: “Everything we do is for our community—the fans who cheer for us and the players who compete under our banner.
“With Digi, we’re not just adopting new technology; we’re creating a more meaningful and direct connection with our community. Whether it’s a fan wanting to know more about our legacy or a DIGFort player needing a quick rule clarification, Digi will be there to level-up their experience.”
