The partnership between PSG Esports and TALON Esports first began in 2020, with PSG TALON achieving a wealth of success in regional leagues and regular appearances at the League of Legends World Championship.
However, in January 2025, the two parties concluded the League of Legends partnership, citing changing priorities as a factor behind the decision. The newly named team returns to competition at the LCP 2025 Season Finals, taking place from July 26th to August 24th, 2025. The top three teams from the event will earn a place at the 2025 World Championship.
In addition to the team returning to League of Legends, the renewed partnership has seen Qatar Airways join forces with the team as its front-of-jersey sponsor. The team noted the sponsorship deal is ‘a step forward in expanding the commercial and global reach of the team’.
“We’re thrilled to once again partner with PSG Esports and welcome Qatar Airways as the front-of-jersey sponsor for our League of Legends team,” said Sean Zhang, CEO and co-founder of TALON.
“PSG Esports has been an incredible partner, and together, we’ve built a globally recognised team brand within League of Legends. With Qatar Airways now joining, we are creating even more opportunities to elevate the fan experience and grow the reach of the team worldwide.”

Outside of League of Legends, the two entities have continued collaborating on other projects. In 2024, the two parties extended its partnership into Rainbow Six Siege, with the PSG TALON name competing in the Asia Pacific League.
The R6 team is currently competing in the Stage 1 Playoffs, with the winner earning a place at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
