According to Twitch Rivals, the event is scheduled to take place from July 18th to 19th, 2025, beginning at 10:00 PM GMT+1. In total, 48 players will be divided into eight teams of 6, with team captains selecting members through a Snake Draft offline.
Abe’s Marvel Rivals Showdown will be a two-day competition, with the first day hosting the Seeding Stage, and the Bracket Stage taking place on the second day.
The Seeding Stage will see a Round Robin; seven rounds will be played, and each will be played to BO1. It is important to note that no team will be eliminated during this stage.
There will also be a specific order of maps played across seven rounds in the Seeding Stage:
- Round 1: Domination Royal Palace
- Round 2: Convergence Shin-Shibuya
- Round 3: Convoy Midtown
- Round 4: Domination Krakda
- Round 5: Convergence Symbiotic Surface
- Round 6: Convoy Yggdrasil Path
- Round 7: Domination Hell’s Heaven
The Bracket Stage will be Double Elimination, with seeding based on placements from the previous stage. The Winner Bracket will be BO3, and the Last Chance Bracket will be BO1.
Map selection will be different this time around. The first map will be decided randomly, with the higher-seed deciding which side to take if it’s an attack-defence map. The losers of the first round will choose the second map, and the third map will follow the same rules based on the results of the second round.
The Twitch Rivals event will offer a prize pool of $150,000 (~£115,000), which will be split across the two stages based on placements.
